Visit to Taiwan and Indonesia

Japan Feed Manufacturers Association (J.F.M.A.) sent the delegation to Taiwan and Indonesia, because of the request to the lecture of inner management of feed mill at the "Feed Safety Seminar" in Taipei and the invitation to visit Indonesia with Mr. Hung.
J.F.M.A. express great thanks to Taiwan Feed Industry Association especially to Mr. Hung chairman of T.F.I.A. and C. Itoh Co., Ltd. for helping arrangement of business trip and for the hospitality during stay in Taiwan and Indonesia, and this mission was a great success by their help.
J.F.M.A. delegation visited the Council of Agriculture Executive Yuan of Taiwan and had a meeting with Mr. Bao-Ji Chen Ph.D. Minister of Council of Agriculture Executive Yuan for a hour and half.

J.F.M.A. expressed honest thanks to the supports and donation made by the Nationalist Government of China and Formosan to the victims who had been suffered by the Great East Japan Earthquake explained outlook of international feed and food safety e.g. the activities of T.F.I.A. and J.F.M.A. concerning feed safety the International Feed Regulator's Meeting hosted by FAO and International Feed Industry Federation, "Food Safety Seminar" hosted by J.F.M.A., Codex Task Force for Animal Feed which discussing draft guideline on application of risk assessment for feed and draft guideline for use by governments in prioritising their national feed hazards.
Mr. Bao-Ji Chen Ph.D. Minister of Council of Agriculture Executive Yuan mentioned that the feed and food safety is very important, I had attended the seminar held last year as a advisor of T.F.I.A., had been impressed deeply. The theme of the seminar hold this year is very interesting, I would like to send a competent person to attend the seminar.

Mr. Itoh, chairman of the technical committee of J.F.M.A. and Mr. Kobayashi, member of the technical committee made a lecture as "Inner management of feed company" in the seminar.

In the Q&A session, some questions are shown as, why Japanese government set the standard of radioactive cesium as such low level compared to other country, an antibiotics be able to add to feed in Japan, what is the effect or merit to adoption of inner management such described in the lecture, how the Japanese feed industry managed high level contamination of DON in U.S. corn in 2009.
